Question: “What insurance plans do you accept?”
Answer: See the list. We also see patients who are uninsured.

Question: “How do we reach you?”

Question: “What are your hours?”
Answer: We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed for lunch from 12 – 1.

Question: “Is after hours care available?”
Answer: Yes – through the on call doctor or nurse. Call Medlink (323-5456)

Question: “If I want to see a female provider, is one available?”
Answer: Yes, Carol Lynn Langer, a certified Physician Assistant is available for exams and consultations.

Question: “Is Dr. Byrd associated with a hospital in Austin?”
Answer: While Dr. Byrd does not provide care while you are in the hospital, he is affiliated with the Seton Network of hospitals as well as St. David’s Hospital. Specialists in hospital care are available to monitor your progress should you have to be hospitalized for any reason.

Question: “What is Dr. Byrd’s specialty?”
Answer: He is Board Certified in Family Medicine.

Question: “Is there an age limit for patients?”
Answer: We see patients from age 8 and up.

Question: “If I need a referral, how do I get that done?”
Answer: Because your insurance may have special requirements for referrals, it is best if you schedule an appointment to be seen and discuss the referral. In many cases, we can manage the problem for you in our office without needing to send you to a specialist.
